American Power Con-version (APC) District Manager for Nigeria and Ghana, Mr. Charles Iyo, has said that one of the firm’s product, InfraStruXure, offers increased availability of power to organizations, just as the firm supports the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS)
He made this known while speaking at this year’s international conference of NCS held in Port Harcourt, recently, with the theme “Information Technology Capacity Building: The Future of Nigeria’s Economic Growth” (ICABUILD) 2005.
He also said that InfraStruXure enables organizations to improve on their adaptability and reduces time for deployment.
Mr. Iyo, further said that the product offers lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), mostly within the Information Technology (IT) environment.
InfraStruXure, he said, is an on-demand architecture for Network-Critical Physical Infrastructure (NCPI). This, the expert said means in essence that the InfraStruXure design, which integrates power, cooling, rack, management and services, allows the selection of standardised, modular components to create a customised solution.
According to him, businesses across Africa are adopting APC’s InfraStruXure offering to flexibly add capacity as the company grows; allowing organisations to purchase only what is needed at present while still permitting future growth.
Stressing that InfraStruXure affords IT managers to choose from a number of standardised components to create a customised solution.
This approach, he said, provides the needed reliability, affordability and predictability of standardised solutions, which is completely customised to meet client’s specific needs.
APC’s comprehensive products and services offering are designed for both home and corporate environments to improve the availability, manageability and performance of sensitive electronic, network, communication and industrial equipment of all sizes.
