Chams Nigeria Limited was unveiled a transactional and information platform, known as ChamsAccess service in Lagos.
Corporate Affairs executive Mr. Yemi Akinleye said the unveiling was in response to market demands and in support of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) technology penetration in the country.
He quoted the General Manager, Chams Nigeria Limited, Mr. Eniola Bolarin, as saying “the services would soon be deployed to strategic locations throughout the country so that Nigerians could enjoy and appreciate a self service platform that offers unparallel convenience and efficiency on routine business transaction as the service offers a one -stop multi application and multi-function cashless transaction”.
Mr. Bolarin said that ChamsAccess would complement the dreams of the Federal Government in setting up the National e- payment forum as a tool to leap-frogging the nation towards a cashless society.
According to him, also said the company is already on ground to support the initiative with its ChamsAccess service terminals.
Also speaking, Chairman Entertainment Committee of Ikoyi Club, Mr. Femi Numa, posited that Nigeria is long over due for a cashless society as been championed by the likes of Chams through the ChamsAccess service terminal.
He said with the coming of the service, Nigerians would be exposed to international practice of doing business and help build a culture of electronic solutions.
Offering on the ChamsAccess includes bill payments, online banking services, fund transfer, recharge card vending, Internet access, airline ticketing and reservation, telephony, multi media e-mail, information portal, games and advertisement.
