Acting Head of Division, Public Relations, Events and Sponsorships at Vmobile Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Oparah said in a press statement made available to ITREALMS that the management of the Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) expressed sympathies, especially to relatives, friends and associates of the victims of the ill-fated flight, which occurred last Saturday, in Port Harcourt.
Also in a short messaging service (SMS) sent on the network, Vmobile said “Our hearts go out in sympathy to all Nigerians, especially those who lost loved ones in the Sosoliso plane crash. May God comfort you”.
Mr. Oparah equally described the crash as “one air mishap too many, coming barely 42 days after the air crash in Lisa Ogun State, which killed all the117 passengers and crew on board”.
While urging Nigerians to pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased, Vmobile pleaded that Almighty God grant eternal repose to the souls of fellow citizens; departed brothers and sisters, including the innocent school children who were going home for the Christmas holiday.
“We also pray that God will give their families and friends the
fortitude to bear the painful loss,” he said.
Vmobile further commiserated with the management of Sosoliso Airlines over the unfortunate incident and wish them courage and God’s guidance in this most difficult time of their operation.
