Vmobile Nigeria, a Glo-bal System for Mobile communication (GSM) service provider, devoted time to enlighten its subscribers on its brand values at just concluded 27th Kaduna International Trade Fair in Kaduna State.
Amidst sales, exhibitions and funfair, Vmobile educated subscribers, exhibitors and visitors alike at the fair on the value of being on the network and its on-going aggressive network expansion programme, named project ROSE - Rolling Out Service Everywhere.
Divisional Head, Sales and Marketing North at Vmobile, Mr. Ken Ogujiofor, said the fair afforded the telco the opportunity to “interface with existing subscribers and strengthen relations with other key stakeholders in the region and also intimate its subscribers, prospects, visitors and exhibitors at the fair on the benefits and value of subscribing to the network.”
He also said that Vmobile participation in the fair was to showcase its core value commitment to the “pursuit of world class services which delight customers at all times”.
This, he noted, is irrespective of where they reside nationwide, which is why Vmobile is not relenting in its avowed aggressive expansion programme that would pave the way for extension of “our services in many more cities and communities across the geopolitical divisions of the country through its project ROSE.”
Noteworthy is that recently, three communities, Lessel in Benue State, Yelwa Duguri in Bauchi State, and Gelengu in Gombe State, emerged winners in the project ROSE and have been enthusiastic in the second quarter of the Short Messaging Service (SMS) based contest.
According to him, the expansion is targeted at building 3,000 base stations nationwide, to expand the network capacity so as to accommodate a minimum of 10 million subscribers by 2007.
The project, he said, is already yielding results and has contributed to installation of over 1,000 base stations since the commencement in June last year.
Among the educational materials given to visitors to the Vmobile stand at the Fair are fliers with detailed information on project ROSE, explaining how to participate in the SMS competition.
Additionally, visitors to Vmobile stand were given the chance of buying its Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) packs, and recharge vouchers with special promotional incentives such as T-shirts, face caps, and pens available.
He pointed out that a major crowd-centred corner was the Vmobile/Coca-Cola joint promotion tagged recharge and refresh promo.
Besides the massive sales being recorded, subscribers were also seen queuing to pick up the free bottles of Coca-Cola products they won.
