International Data Corporation (IDC), has concluded arrangement to open its West African office in the country, today, Wednesday, June 7, in Lagos.

According to the Branch Manager for West Africa, Mr. Patrick Nzegbuna, the opening would be heralded with a media parley to be addressed by the Regional Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at IDC, Mr. Jyoti Lalchandani.

He also said that the event would be used to officially announce IDC’s presence in the region and particularly in Nigeria and introduce the company’s analysts and products to the media and local businesses.

Mr. Lalchandani, the branch manager noted, would be attending the opening along with the two Nigeria-based analysts, namely himself and Aremu Fikayo.

The event would be used to highlight Nigeria’s position as one of the leading Information Technology (IT) markets in Africa and the general state as well as the markets trend in the next few years.

IDC, a leading provider of IT and communications market intelligence, advisory services, and networking events, he said, assists IT professionals, business executives, and the investment community in making fact-based decisions on technology purchases, sales and marketing promotions in addition to IT and business strategies.
