Khera harps on motivation

A United States-based management consultant and motivational guru, Mr. Shiv Khera has told the Information Technology (IT) experts in the country the importance of being a winner in their chosen area of operation.

He said that winners in the sector amongst others do not do different things to emerge where they are, but engage in doing things differently.

Mr. Khera spoke in Lagos, at a three-day seminar for selected stakeholders sponsored by a leading IT distribution firm, Redington Nigeria Limited.

Dwelling on the theory of motivation, attitude, ambition, leadership, teamwork and self-esteem, otherwise known as (MAALTS), Mr. Khera said this theory usually unveils the secrets of success.

Therefore, making it easy for anyone desirous of success in a chosen field to succeed and see things positively.

He pointed out that factors based on good qualities are already embedded in an individual but may be deficient in required quantity.

As said by him, passion, intelligence, honesty, team spirit, commitment and consistency to name a few counts among relevant skills that could be acquired.

Top on this list, the motivational speaker noted, is attitude, saying it is critical base for success, while stressing that other factors stimulating attitude include environment, experience and educational background.

Mr. Khera, who is the founder, Qualified Learning Systems Incorporated, and has authored several inspirational books, emphasised that he had his own share of failure until he attended a lecture facilitated by renowned Dr. Norman Vincent Peale.
