THis year’s Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) annually held in Dubai, may have a strong Nigerian team as plans is up by Upfront and Personal in partnership with KHF Travels and Tours to offer participants from this part of the world a special treat.
Led by Mr. Paul Okoye, the group said GITEX draws about 4,000 participants annually, and that has made it a major get-together for key IT players around the world.
“In the world of information technology, new products emerge nearly every minute even as old ones go obsolete with the same speed. So, people who lay emphasis on the use of information technology and want to remain on top of the game visit trade shows like the GITEX,” he said.
He also said that the event holding at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, is what his organisation is doing its best to ensure that Nigerians partake in by making the processes simple.
On display in the four-day show, he said, would be Gulfcom, the Middle East largest Telecommunications technology session, covering mobile, fixed, Internet Protocol (IP) and satellite.
Other specials to be on display include IT equipment and systems, comprising computer components and peripherals, storage media, printers, copiers and pre-print systems, consumer electronics and home automation, office automation, as well as point-of-sales systems, embedded computer technology, security systems, power supplies for ICT systems, and biometric identification systems.
Also expected on the showcase are software and services, consisting of complete solutions, IT services and consulting, and e-government; and banking technology and financial solutions.
He expressed optimism that those attending from Nigeria will have more than a mouthful to chose from, get a great opportunity to network and build business bridges.
The packages his company has put together will cater for the Visa, Flight, transportation, hotel accommodation and a one-hour sightseeing every evening.“Once a person has come onboard, he explained, Upfront and Personal will take over his burden and ensure his comfort throughout the duration of the trip,” he promised.
