Resourcery, GTB sign deal on SAS solutions

Information Technology (IT) solution provider, Resourcery Limited and award-winning Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) Plc, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on SAS anti-laundering and detection solution.

SAS Institute Pty is the market leader in provision of a new generation of business intelligence software and services that create true enterprise intelligence.

SAS solutions are in use by over 40,000 customer sites, including 90 per cent of the Fortune 500, to develop more profitable relationships with customers and suppliers, thereby enabling better, more accurate and informed decisions to drive futuristic organizations.

Managing Director of Resourcery, Mr. Tani Fafunwa who disclosed this, said that as the key representative of SAS in the country his firm would be responsible for the implementation of the solution at GT Bank.

He also said that with this acquisition, GT Bank has joined the league of banks in the country who are turning to SAS solutions to provide them with information that gives competitive advantage, hence availing the bank with the power to know.

“We’re delighted to have GT Bank as one of our clients, and GT Bank is known for revitalizing and changing the banking environment. Within a short space of time, they have become clear leader in the banking sector in Nigeria,” Mr. Fafunwa said.

He said the benefits of the SAS anti-money laundering solution are abundant.

“With the adoption of the solution, GT Bank would be better positioned to detect and manage all forms of money laundering activities within its network,” he said.

Particularly, he said the bank would be able to minimize the number of false alerts, while enforcing compliance with government regulations and legislation and reporting all relevant information related to a suspicious case to the appropriate person for investigations.

“We look forward to working with the GT Bank team to deliver a world class solution to the bank,” he asserted.
