SUB-regional banking institution, the Ecobank Plc, has taken its Naira Credit card to the city of Tinapa, a business resort in Calabar, Cross Rivers States, just as Ecobank opens its branch in that locality.
Head, South East Region Operations at Ecobank, Mr Sylvester Mbamali informed that as a Pan African bank with strong retail pedigree, Ecobank has resolved to extend its products and services to customers visiting and around Tinapa environs.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Mr. Offong Ambah, explained that opening of the branch at Tinapa is to simplify an attestation to the firm’s commitment to supporting local and foreign business in the region.
“We will provide fast and bespoke service to each client,” he declared, noting for instance that the Ecobank Naira Credit card offers immense freedom to any customer to make purchases and indeed live a lifestyle of his own in any part of the country. “We’re always willing to support business ideas with great potential to contribute to the economic growth and development of the Nigeria and indeed Africa. Tinapa happens to be one of such. It’s the first, largest, and presently the only business resort in the entire West and Central African region and Ecobank Nigeria is proud to be associated with it,” Mr. Ambah said.
Welcoming the gathering, the Cross-Rivers state governor, Mr. Donald Duke, said that, at inception when his administration approached bank with the Tinapa vision, only a few of them responded favourably.
“Today, thanks to Ecobank, UBA, First Bank and others, our vision has become a reality, and baby Tinapa has been delivered,” he said.
The Tinapa business resort, commissioned by President Olusegun Obasanjo, Monday is a one-stop business and recreational resort that boasts recreational and commercial facilities, a film studio, banks and shopping centre among others.
