Globacom covers more towns, extends N750 promo

The Second National Carrier (SNO), Globacom, has continued to cover more towns and communities in the country, with the latest being neighbourhoods in Kogi, Kano and Jigawa States.

This came as the telco has extended its N750 Recharge Card Seasons promo earlier scheduled to end on January 31 to now March 31, 2007.

The SNO said the more continuous roll out is a restatement of its resolve to ensure that the network was available in the nooks and crannies of the country as it was desirous of empowering Nigerians not only to talk and communicate on the Glo network, but also to permit them to rule their world.

The latest coverage, according to the telco, includes Ganaja, Opake Junction and Agbaja in Kogi State; Charanchi in Katsina, Talata-Mafara in Zamfara, Danbatta in Kano State, Ringim, Birnin-Kudu, Andaza and Kwanar-Huguma in Jigawa State.

Also covered within this period are Kurgwi Quanpan in Plateau State, Kobi, Mayo-Belwa, Fabore and Yola Jada Rd in Adamawa and Asabe Ase in Delta State and Ganaja, Opake Junction and Agbaja in Kogi State.

Chief Operating Officer, Globacom, Mr. Mohammed Jameel, informed that the telco already covered all states in Nigeria and is vigorously pursuing its plans to roll out in all the towns and villages in the country.

Meanwhile, the telco has announced the extension of its N750 Recharge Card Seasons promotion earlier scheduled to end on January 31 to March 31, 2007.

Marketing Department of Globacom said, the extension was to give more subscribers the opportunity to take part and win in the promo.

The telco said the promo has been reloaded with more benefits for subscribers, explaining that a customer who recharges with the N750 card denomination will, in addition to qualifying for the draw to win a Honda Accord i-vtec (2006 model) car, now get a 10 per cent instant bonus, which is N75. The bonus airtime is for Glo to Glo calls.

Equally, the subscriber gets five (5) free Glo to Glo Short Messaging Service (SMS) each time he recharges with the N750 denomination.

Globacom added that the extension was in response to the clamour by its subscribers for more time to allow them to participate in the offer.

Globacom’s N750 Recharge Card Seasons Promo was launched last December to celebrate the Yuletide and Eid-el-Fitri festivities and reward customers for their loyalty and patronage.

In addition, prepaid subscribers who recharge their lines with the special N750 recharge card automatically qualify for the promotion which has 40 Honda Accord cars as star prize.

Winners of the cars are determined in electronic draws conducted openly by the company. So far, 12 out of the 40 cars have been presented to winners. The remaining 28 units will be won in draws, which will be held in different regions of the country.

“The promotion is another way of showing appreciation to our customers for their patronage and support throughout the year. Globacom has done extremely well this year because of their patronage and we want to say thank you to them. The promo relates strongly with the festive spirit of sharing and we believe it will positively impact the lives of the winners,” a press statement from the telco said.
