HP rewards TD with highest revenue award

WEST Africa leading Information and Communication Technology (ICT) distributor, Technology Distribution (TD) Limited, has been honoured with the highest revenue award by the Hewlett Packard (HP) in Cape Town, South Africa.

The award tagged the HP’s 2006 best Performance award for Revenue in the distributor category was presented by the General Manager, SPO at HP Africa, Mr. Foad Afilal during the HP’s Partners Conference.

Mr. Afilal said he was impressed by the consistency in the TD enterprise, stressing that the that company has become an imposing landmark on the IT landscape in Africa, as it is associated with offering original and high quality ICT products from renowned manufacturers.

Also, he said that TD was an effective major link in HPs distribution calculations on the continent.

Receiving the award, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) Marketing, Mrs. Chioma Chimere, attributed TD’s outstanding performance in recent times to the loyalty of its satisfied customers and the professionalism of the TD staff.

She also expressed gratitude to the clientele of TD assuring them that the best from the company is yet to come.

Mrs Chimere further explained that the growing presence and impact of TD in the West African sub region would open new market opportunities, just as prices have been crashed for the Easter season at TD.

The company said that the promo titled, “Unbeatable prices from the number 1 in ICT distribution,” has brought down the prices of laptops incredibly to below a N100,000, HP Deskjet Printer prices also came down by as much as 40 per cent.

“The APC UPS certainly stands out as the star of the promo. Customers who purchase APC products worth N300, 000.00 automatically qualify for a raffle draw and could win a KIA Picanto car (tear rubber),” the telco said.

Managing Director, TD, Mrs. Chioma Ekeh, said that in the spirit of the Easter season, is giving people the chance to purchase high quality ICT materials at very low prices for their offices, homes or even loved ones.

She said that the notebooks on offer, which cost only N99,999.00 and N139,999.00 respectively, would make perfect gifts for students especially now that the ownership of a laptop has become a pre-requisite for most courses in tertiary institutions.

Mrs. Ekeh added that the HP DJ 1280 printer would be an ideal buy for a small or medium office, while the HP DJ 5943 could serve the needs of homes, small offices and students.
