ExpertEdge enters deal with M2M Group

Determined to make its mark in the electronic payment sub-sector in the country, ExpertEdge Software and Systems, a subsidiary of the Computer Warehouse Group (CWG), has entered deal with M2Mgroup, developers of MAGIX universal payment solution.

Champion Infotel recalls that recently CWG cemented partnership with Wincor Nixdorf ATMs, for the deployment of that brand in the country.

Corporate Affairs and Marketing Manager at CWG, Ms Morenike Popoola, informed that M2M Group with offices in five countries and solutions deployed in over 30 countries would bring to the partnership their expertise, which has proved the firm as leader in secured electronic transactions.

She also said, would be optimised by deployment of its MAGIX universal payment solution as a comprehensive modular and integrated solution covering front office acquiring functions, middle office switching and routing and back office card management and business intelligence functions.

According to her, this breadth of solutions across the entire payment systems chain is a unique feature of the MAGIX suite ensuring that integration is seamless.

She explained further by saying that MAGIX modules also have the advantage of being able to integrate to components from other vendors and to a variety of back end hosts.

“MAGIX is a modern application written in the java language and able to run on all types of computers while still being able to process transaction loads of more than two million transactions per day,” she said.

She added that MAGIX which is a multi-country, multi-bank, multi-currency and multi-protocol capable, has the functionality for banks wishing to be vendor independent in their choice of front end devices like Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) as well as those aiming to expand operations beyond home countries.

The Area Sales Manager,M2M Group, Mr. Martin Rousson said that his firm has deployed MAGIX in leading banks like BNP Paribas, National Bank of Egypt and Attijariwafa Bank of Morrocco which are both in the top 10 banks in Africa, as well as several banks and retail organizations from Russia to Mauritius.

“Each of these customers have benefited from the competitive advantage offered by a solution that is flexible, customizable, scalable and available on all operating systems from Windows to Linux,” he said, stressing that MAGIX has been consistently rated one of the top ten EFT software suite by NILSON report, the leading EFT industry newsletter.

Also speaking, Executive Directive, ExpertEdge, Mr. James Agada said that Computer Warehouse Group as a formidable entity, brings into the relationship a proven experience of enterprise application deployment and support for mission critical applications.

“With a 24/7 support centre, technical competence in Oracle, Unix and Java, and significant domain experience in banking, ExpertEdge would give MAGIX a solid base for success in the Nigerian market and across the West African market where CWG has established credentials as a dominant player,” he said.

Mr. Agada emphasised that the track record of the Computer Warehouse Group include the major success recorded with the Finacle core banking application, in partnership with global software giants, Infosys.

“Finacle is now the major core banking software application in Nigeria, currently running in eight banks, including two of the three largest banks,” he asserted.
