LG opens 10-day exhibition @ Galleria

Global technology leader in home appliance convergence on Saturday opened its 10-day product exhibition at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island in Lagos, just as it commenced the firm’s this year health-oriented home appliances campaign in the country.

Speaking at the occasion, Managing Director of leading LG distributor in the country, Fouani Nigeria Limited, Mr. Mohammed Fouani, said that the campaign would afford LG customers to have an insight into the product lines so as to better cater for their well-being.

He also said that an estimated 500 customers would benefit from the campaign through raffle tickets, especially by those who visit the exhibition stands to enable them attend a show of their choice at the Silverbird Galleria.

“We will also be rewarding our customers with 500 raffle tickets to be won by visitors at the stand during the exhibition,” he declared.

He therefore urged LG customers to ensure they take advantage of this offer to visit the 10-day exhibition at the Galleria.

Also speaking, General Manager, Digital Appliance division at LG Electronics for West Africa, Mr. D.K. Son, noted that the company recently pioneered a study called LG-Synovate, which established that health was one of the biggest concerns of customers and that technology could be of help in prevention of the problems including respiratory, skin and nutrition-related diseases.

He pointed out that majority of the study respondents, concurred that they could adopt to new technologies that would dramatically improve hygiene in their environments and reduce illness resulting from unhealthy surroundings.

The study, he said, also revealed that homes and offices were the primary breeding grounds for respiratory and infectious diseases, even as regular serving of air-conditioners and maintenance of vacuum cleaners could equally improve air quality in offices and homes.

Therefore, in response to these findings, LG Electronics has launched its healthcare products to meet these challenges.

“All of these appliances have one thing in common – health friendly features that distinguishes them from similar conventional products,” he asserted, adding that products on display would include air conditioners, microwave ovens, washing machines, refrigerators, and vacuum cleaners among others from the stable of LG.

Throwing more light on the brand’s health concern, Events Officer at LG, Mr. Ajibola Akomolafe, said that LG Neo Plasma Plus air conditioners, not only cool, but also equipped with a 12-level bio enzyme filter that enhances purification and sterilisation facility.

“The Green Ion Door cooling refrigerator has been equipped with ‘Green Catechin deodorizer,’ which filters out moisture, bacteria and odour thereby preserving food and making them fresher and long lasting,” he said.
