According to the Executive Vice Chairman, Teledom Group, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, BreezeMax, is an open standard of the Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WIMAX), which is a telecommunications technology aimed at providing wireless data.
He noted that apart from the open standard, in WIMAX avails increased broadband capacity, recalling that recently the United States-based AT & T Alascom, announced the adoption of Alvarion’s BreezeMax equipment as part of its deployment of WIMAX broadband in Alaska based on its flexibility and improved efficacy.
Dr. Ekuwem enlightened that the BreezeMax Radio Access Network (RAN) combines a complete all-IP, an ecosystem capable of offering nationwide network coverage while increasing capacity at affordable rates.
Alvarion products, he said, are being deployed in a massive WIMAX rollout due to the fact that it has been extensively tested to support fourth order diversity for delivering flexible and improved coverage even in difficult terrain, just as its highly suitable for the mountainous and wooded areas.
