Disclosing this, Group Executive, Brand Management and Corporate Affairs, at Intercontinental Bank Plc, Mr. Ken Tadaferua, informed that the formal launch scheduled for the bank’s corporate head office at Dan Mole, Victoria Island, came in response to the yearnings of the market and demand of customers.
He enlightened that I-Cash International product is a safe and convenient way of transferring money to customers and non-customers using the bank’s branch offices nationwide.
While on the I-Cash Mobile, he said, its meant to serve the needs of people in the country who desire the fastest means of transferring funds to their loved ones, folks, friends and business partners.
Thus, an electronic funds transfer conducted through the use of mobile phone to a beneficiary who could collect the money from any of the bank’s 250 branches countrywide.
Mr. Tadaferua also said that Intercontinental Bank has been executing a bold enhancement strategy of all its processes in line with the highest international standard-customer service, including deployment of Information Technology (IT) and e-banking solution, expanding of its business lines and strengthening of risk management.
This, he said, was in line with the bank’s quest for a global competition as it has introduced a bigger, bolder global vision: To be the No 1 in Nigeria, No 1 in Africa and among the world’s top 100 banks.
He added that the vision is to enthrone a truly world class Intercontinental Bank with presence in all the continents of the world to help position the bank in good stead for global competition.
He recalled that last November, the bank in its determination to be a dominant player in global banking launched a new corporate identity, emphasising that the event dubbed; Good to Great, came 19 years after its establishment and reflects the strategic intent of the bank.
