Group Managing Director of Reltelwireless, Mr. Tony Okonkwo, while commenting on the award organised by ThisDay, dedicated the prize to the staff of the company and its teeming subscribers, who, he said, had ensured that Reltelwireless braved all the odds to bounce back to the number one position in the Coded Division Multiple Access (CDMA) segment of the telecommunications market.
“We’re greatly encouraged by this award, as it shows that the modest effort we’re making to build a wide, robust, effective, affordable and very reliable network is being noticed and appreciated,” he said.
According to him, Reltelwireless is excited to have won this award at the same time places which greater responsibilities on the telco to provide unassailable service to subscribers.
“We’re, indeed humbled by this recognition,” he said.
Equally speaking, the Executive Vice-Chairman of Reltelwireless, Mr. Ken Aigbinode, expressed gratitude to all Nigerians who have kept faith with the company, and by whose vote the company has been named number one in its category.
He promised that the company would repay the confidence by embarking on several initiatives that will further make access to quality telephony affordable to all existing and potential subscribers.
“Our subscribers have made us number one. On our part, we shall continue to make them number one in every aspect of our operations, by developing and introducing revolutionary products, providing cutting-edge value added services, and continuing with our aggressive pan-Nigeria roll-out programme,” Mr. Aigbinode assured.
Champion Infotel recalls that Reltelwireless recently launched the dual-SIM phone, into the market and had earlier acquired the Unified Access Service License with national spectrum to cover all the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
