Speaking at the event which took place in Lagos, APC by Schneider Electric’s Manager: English Speaking Area and Service Centre, West and Central Africa and Indian Ocean, Mr. Paul-Marie Dable, said that the efficiency imbedded in the data architecture has the capacity to pay for itself.
He presented how Nigerian businesses could become more energy efficient, by benefiting through partnership with APC, as well as its latest power protection products now available to the local market.
Dable said that with improved electrical efficiency within the Information Technology (IT) room or the data centre’ is now a priority for companies worldwide.
“Data centre power consumption is rapidly becoming a global issue – as both an environmental concern and a business matter. As energy costs skyrocket, IT departments are facing increased demands to bring the escalating power and cooling expenses of today’s high-density deployments under control,” he said.
Dable also explained that through the InfraStruXure solution, APC by Schneider Electric could assist local businesses in improving the electrical efficiency of their data centres in order to meet these requirements.
“The company’s local partners are also available to assist and advise Nigerian businesses on using InfraStruXure for their specific data centre needs,” he asserted.
Also he noted that APC by Schneider is currently backed by the strength, experience, and wide network of Schneider Electric’s critical power and cooling services.
