MultiLinks promises superior service

CODE Division Multiple Access (CDMA) service provider, Multilinks-Telkom has promised subscribers of superior quality of service by covering three quarter of the country before the end of 2008, reports CHARLES OKOH.

Corporate Affairs Executive at MultiLinks-Telkom Nigeria, Mr. Tayo Ekundayo made this promise during the recently held reward event for lucky subscribers on the network which took place in Lagos.

He said that Multilinks, unlike others in this category of CDMA platform, is more interested in developing infrastructure so that superior quality service is guaranteed.

Ekundayo also said the telco has invested so much in the area of transmission to avoid chaos which is the problem with many networks as there are challenges of infrastructure that cannot support the total number deployed.

“Transmission problem is handled in such a way that if you make a call anywhere it will go by one dial,” he assured, adding that the telco does not delight in announcing number of subscribers but working hard to ensure that its subscribers get value for their money.

“Multilinks does not delight in making noise, instead we are investing in infrastructure such that at the end of the day the customer will get superior quality service,” Ekundayo said.

Although he did not disclose the amount of resources expended so far on infrastructure by the operator, but added that attaining one million subscriber base under one year of being taken over by Telkom SA, is nothing to celebrate yet.

He also stated that Multilinks has covered over 30 communities in the country and that its team is working day and night to ensure that three quarter of the country will be covered before the end of the year.

“We’re in more than 30 communities in the country, as I am talking to you, we have team laying optic fibre cables all over, so that whatever amount of traffic we generate, we will not have hiccups at all,” he added.
