FOLLOWING successful roll out recently in Benin and Owo, Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) operators, Multi-Links Telkom has again extended its services to Warri, Delta State.
The chief executive officer, MultiLinks Telkom Nigeria, Mr. Justin Ramayia, said the entry into Warri would redefine telecommunications services in the city considering the quality of services and tariff, which are pocket-friendly on the network.
Mr. Ramayia also said, that he was pleased about the resilience of the network as experienced during his working visit to Benin when the city joined the network recently.
He added with Warri on the network means that the residents of the are would now enjoy quality voice, data and internet services provided by the telco which is made possible by the robust transmission system connecting the city to the rest of the world.
The director of sales and marketing, Mr. Pierre Marais, said the entire roll out plan would make Multi-Links Telkom to assume its position as the pioneer and leader in the CDMA environment.
A press statement endorsed by the corporate affairs executive, Mr. Tayo Ekundayo also stated that with over 1.2 million subscribers in about 13 states and more than 25 communities, Multi-Links Telkom is increasing its spending on infrastructure at the end of which all parts of the country would have been covered.
Mr. Ekundayo said Ondo, Jos and Bauchi are set to join the network soon.
Meanwhile, Multi-Links has rewarded its subscribers with prizes ranging from laptops to recharge cards at its monthly draw for the months of May and June held in Lagos.
The event which is part of the telco’s on-going ‘Lucky draw Promotion,’ saw 24 winners of laptops and recharge cards as reward for remaining with the network.
Speaking at the ceremony, chief sales and marketing officer, Mr. Pierre Marais, said Multi-Links Telkom is rapidly touching lives across the country through not only provision of telecommunications services, but also through the running promotions.
According to him, the promo which kicked off in May this year will run until the end of November, 2008.
He said all a subscriber needs to do to qualify for the weekly, monthly and final draw is to recharge his or her phone with any denomination of Multi-Links Telkom recharge cards ranging from N200, N500, N1000, N2000, N5,000 and N10,000.
He said the subscriber’s recharge card number are entered into a weekly draw to stand a chance of winning five times the value of the lucky card recharge during the week.
Mr. Marais also said so far, 520 lucky subscribers have been credited with amounts ranging from 5 x N200 to 5 x N10,000 as a result of their recharge card numbers being one of the ten cards in each denomination.
He also stated that all of the winners of the monthly draws will go forward (12 per month) into the final draw which will be held in early December, where they could win one of six motor cars, one car per recharge card denomination, adding that the card will vary depending on the value of the successful recharge card.
The events was graced by dealers and officials of the telco as well as Miss Theresa Onyokoko from Delta State who won the Kia Rio star prize in the ‘Win a car promo’ of May, who was accompanied by her father.
