Samsung introduces Series 6 flat TVs

Acclaimed largest manufacturer of high definition digital television (TV) sets and monitors, Samsung Electronics, has introduced Flat panel TV series 6 into the global market.

Executive Vice President, Samsung Visual Display Division, Mr. Boo-keun Yoon, said that the electronic giant has formally launched its 2008 range of flat panel Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Plasma TVs into the market place.

This, he said, in a press statement made available to Champion Infotel at the weekend as being the characteristic manner of striving to maintain its leadership in the electronics industry through continuous technological innovation and advancement, as well as outstanding, thought provoking designs and product development.

“The 2008 range of flat panel televisions possesses significant advances in technology and design,” he said.

Yoon listed other outstanding features of the latest range of panel televisions to include exceptional colour quality and picture clarity in a new crystal design which establishes Samsung Electronics as a leader in the High Definition TV arena.

He described the new range as highly advanced in design and functionality.

“Our 2008 line-up is our most ambitious design effort yet. After more than a year of development time, we created a new material that instils real artisanship and class into the models, giving customers the opportunity to purchase TVs with cutting edge technology in a design that stands apart from industry trends of the past few years,” he said.

According to him, the latest flat panel TVs illustrate Samsung Electronics’ emphasis on the importance of design, just as it further strengthens the electronic giant’s leadership in the television manufacturing industry.

“The visual display division further seeks to build on its past successes which have earned it several awards and commendations such as the 2007 IF Design Award for the sixth year running, the EISA Award for five years in a row. From 2005 to 2007, Samsung was the recipient of the Red Dot Design Award as well as the Industrial Design Excellence Award for 2003 and 2004,” he said.

Technological innovations, he said, is incorporated in the new range of flat panel televisions including a new ultra-clear panel and a wide range of connectivity and ease-of-use enhancements, such as additional HDMI connectors, a new remote control, and a simplified, easy-to-navigate user interface. The new ultra-clear panel removes glare and extraneous light to provide remarkable clarity and deep contrasts.
