Ahead of commercial launch in the country, the fifth Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) operator, Etisalat Nigeria is showcasing top notch products at GITEX Technology Week at the on-going event.
A press statement from Etisalat Nigeria, endorsed by the Head, Corporate Communications, Mrs. Nwugo Nwoke, indicated that the latest GSM entrant in the country, has taken its place among international telecom players at one of the largest technology forums in the world, GITEX Technology Week 2008, which began last Sunday and is due to end tomorrow, Thursday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Tagged ‘Explore’, Etisalat Group is showcasing the best of its state of the art telecommunications technology as well as display the latest Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions and services to business enterprises and individuals.
Vice President Marketing, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Wael Ammar, was quoted in the press statement as saying that GITEX is one of the many avenues that Etisalat would showcase what its known for globally where it has operations, which he summed up as “Innovation and seamless technology.”
“We will demonstrate our strong international presence, the ingenuity behind Etisalat’s customer-centric solutions and services, our robust and mutually rewarding partnerships and the holistic power of the Etisalat brand” he said.
Emphasizing that Etisalat will demonstrate some of its existing services as well as allow customers to preview first hand some of the exciting new products and services that are in the pipe line, especially for the Nigerian market.
“We assure our subscribers that we aim to provide only the most superior technology services that serve to enhance the lives and businesses of our customers” he declared.
As part of its key strategies to demonstrate presence at the event this year, Etisalat has expanded its participation and had a special “Etisalat Day” conference yesterday, October 21; displaying the latest technologies and solutions in association with partners including Microsoft, Cisco and Avaya.
Etisalat, recently ranked as the fastest growing telecommunications company in the world, and the largest operator in Africa and the Middle East, serves an aggregate of 64million subscribers in 16 countries.
