Zain Nigeria and the British Council yesterday, Tuesday begun a nationwide management training sessions in several cities to shape up the skills of young Nigerians aspiring to managerial positions and youthful entrepreneurs in order to afford the chances of running their businesses better.
Public Relations Manager, Zain Nigeria, Mr. Emmanuel Otokhine, said the training programme which is under the banner of the Zain’s sponsored Management Express series would provide young professionals and those with flair for private entrepreneurship, the opportunity to develop their management and leadership talents.
A press statement made available to ITRealms Online and endorsed by Otokhine, said this month’s training is centered on developing effective strategies for customer retention, customer acquisition and managing an excellent relationship with firms’ stakeholders.
He quoted the Chief Marketing Officer, Zain Nigeria, Mr. Norman Moyo, as saying that the theme of the programme is ‘Strategies for Customer Retention and Innovative Public Relation: Capturing the Consumer’s Attention.’
According to Moyo, the venues have been carefully chosen in Lagos, Abuja, and Kano, for the training to give more Nigerians the opportunity to acquire relevant competencies in business excellence.
The training, he said, would be facilitated by an internationally reputable Public Relations Specialist Ms Ruth Herman, to be supported by a host of other equally notable speakers.
He outlined that the event has been schedule for to hold on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the British Council Office, Ikoyi, Lagos; on Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) Centre, Onikan, Lagos and on Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Old Rockview Hotel, Abuja. The Kano leg of the training will hold on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Royal Tropicana Hotel, Kano.
Moyo explained that this edition of Management Express would provide a top of the line learning experience for young Nigerians who are eager to create a big career path in the business fields of customer service, public relations and marketing, stressing that Zain would always go the extra mile to make the dreams of Nigerian youths come true.
He also explained that the programme would feature a series of lectures or professional workshops and a mentorship component, adding that the training is open to those who are just starting their professional career and those who are in middle level management and want to become better managers and leaders.
