5 millionaires emerge @ Zain Val promo

Winners have begun to emerge in the 2009 Valentine Millionaire promo put in place by one of the nation’s leading telecommunications company, Zain Nigeria.

The promo which commenced on January 16 witnessed the emergence of five millionaires at the first raffle draw held in Lagos, including Mr. Justice Ejima Ajunwa, who was presented his N1 million cheque.

The five lucky Zain subscriber numbers turned millionaires by the promo were 08023353780, 08022909606, 08080806448, 08026823353 and 08023083385.

Head, Corporate Communications, Zain Nigeria, Mr. Emeka Oparah, said the telecom operator is determined to delight its numerous customers during this Valentine period, stressing that during the first draw, another set of 25 people were also lifted financially who won N100,000.00 each.

According to him, Zain has promised to give more Nigerians the opportunity to significantly improve their financial profile weekly through the promo.

He also said the promo would run till February 20, 2009, and is open to every subscriber of Zain Nigeria.

The high-tech electronic draw, he said, was supervised and endorsed by a reputable firm of IT Auditors, TC-QA Associates, even as the winning entries were randomly generated from a large pool of entries received from customers during the designated week and stored in a secured database.

Mr. Oparah further said the promo could not have come at a better time with the lovers’ day, Valentine’s Day, just around the corner and mounting effect of the current economic meltdown globally.

“Zain is determined to share our wonderful world with our customers by offering them a ladder to riches weekly through our vastly believable Valentine promo. Noting that Zain carefully timed the Valentine Millionaire Promo for the Valentine period when people need money to buy gifts or go on holiday with their loved ones.

In a press statement from Zain Nigeria and endorsed by the Public Relations Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Otokhine, also explained that participants in the promo in any particular week, are required to use a minimum of N100 daily for one week, Tuesday to Monday during duration of the promo.

As said by him, a minimum usage of N100 per day each for one week or a total usage of N700 per week will guarantee a participant in the Promo a single entry for one draw.

“To enhance their chance of winning, participants are encouraged to make as many entries as possible as there are no restrictions in the number of times customers can enter for the promo,” he said.

Weekly, he said, 30 lucky winners would emerge from the weekly draw with the top five winners receiving N1,000,000.00 each.

“The remaining 25 winners will receive N100,000.00 each,” he declared, noting that in all, Zain would produce 20 lucky millionaires during the promo while 100 (one hundred) other winners will receive N100, 000.00 each.

The winning numbers will be published in selected national dailies during the duration of the promo.
