Stakeholders in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) market in the country are now rushing to Technology Distribution (TD) offices nationwide in order to benefit from the firm’s Gifts Splash promo launched since February.
The TD Gifts Splash promo rewards customers with household gifts for buying from its product basket.
General Manager Marketing, TD, Mrs Chioma Chimere, said they offer a wide range of ICT products; from laptops to desktops, printers, consumables both EPSON and HP.
Also on promo, she said are APC UPS, Microsoft operating systems, and Cisco switches and routers.
The star products, according to her, include the HP desktops going for as low as N50,000.00, describing the price slash as unbelievable.
In addition, she said, the products are so wide that it was impossible for any computer user not to find a need.
“It is possible to walk away with something from designer laptop to mouse and port replicators,” she said.
She explained that the huge discounts are possible because TD is the largest stockist in West Africa and determined to grow the market.
“TD passes these discounts into the trade to encourage resellers to increase their volume and walk away with an impressive profit margin,’ she disclosed.
Further, Mrs. Chimere said that the crazy prices model is more than a price slash, stressing that it is a philosophy that relaxes the market place through informal dressing and a deliberate watering down of the day to day marketing processes and procedures.
In a related development the TD management has just concluded a training programme designed to evolve strategies to contain the impact of the global economic melt down. The HP Training for Resellers, as tagged, featured Bayo Oginni speaking on ISS (Servers) Terac Onyeje spoke on PSG (Laptops) and Mrs Chioma Chimere spoke on the Economic Meltdown – Survival Tips.
After a thorough analysis of the origin of the melt down, Mrs Chioma Chimere explained that the main survival approach would be for all marketers to pull their resources together in the areas of market intelligence, logistics, and sales.
She pointed out that judiciously shared overheads would lead to slimmer costs and achievement of a better understanding for the market.
“We must live for one another” she declared, saying that the time has come for everyone to sacrifice something for the sake of survival.
She said that there exits a need for all to manage their ego more prudently without jeopardizing their positioning and corporate objectives. She called for resellers to be more creative in the market in order to come out of the melt down stronger.
Technology Distributions Limited, Number 1 ICT distributor in West Africa, has a long and dependable relationship with HP culminating in TD being the most decorated HP Reseller in Africa. A few of the Awards won by TD include, HP Top Performer (Growth & Revenue) for West Africa, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, HP Nigeria Recognition for Outstanding Contributions to business growth, 2005 and 2006, HP Top Performer (Revenue) for Africa 2008.
