MultiChoice Nigeria, the subscription management company for DStv in the country has announced the addition of Sony Entertainment Television (SET), the general entertainment channel from Sony Pictures Television (SPT) to the DStv bouquet
A press statement from Head, Corporate Communications, MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr. Segun Fayose, said that with effect from this week, the channel will be available to both DStv Premium and Compact subscribers in the country.
Sony Entertainment Channel is a unique entertainment channel with a programming schedule that appeals to 18 to 49 year olds. Innovative and critically acclaimed first-run series include The Amazing Race (Wednesdays at 6:30 pm local time, the recently debuted Leverage (Thursdays at 7:30 pm local time and the multi-award nominated, The Late Show with David Letterman (weeknights at 9:00 local time).
The channel, he also said, boasts a wide range of movies (weekends at 7:30 local time).
“MultiChoice is pleased that SET is now available to DStv subscribers in Nigeria,” he declared.
Noting that with the addition of SET to the DStv bouquet, DStv viewers would enthusiastically embrace the new channel which provides more entertainment options for the whole family in line with DStv culture.
Around the world, he pointed out that SET is presently watched in more than 90 countries, reaching more than 90 million households and besides Nigeria, SET is also launching in countries like Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and Tanzania on DStv.
