Nokia unveils E75 in Nigeria

World leader in mobile devices manufacturing, Nokia, has unveiled a new product, Nokia E75 mobile phone, to facilitate business and communication into the nation’s market.

Speaking during a media launch in Lagos, General Manager, Nokia Nigeria, Mr. Philip De La Vega, said Nokia E75 is one product introduced into the market under its Nokia Eseries initiative and made from the quality materials one expects from the global brand.

“The Nokia E75 has a slide out QWERTY key pad and efficient three-step email setup,” he said.

According to him, this simplicity is achieved with the integration of Nokia’s corporate email clients, mail for exchange and IBM Lotus Note Traveler, which provide direct access to over 90 per cent of the world’s corporate inboxes as well.
 
“With the Nokia E75 we took a lot of inspiration from the Nokia 9300, which our first mini communicator,” said De La Vega, stressing that owners of the Nokia 9300 loved the messaging functionality with a full keyboard provided.

“In Nokia E75 we also used the traditional phone keypad a great deal. With the Nokia E75 we kept this essential ingredients, significantly upgraded all of the features and made it as compact as possible,” he said.

Equipped with a unique side slider, the richer email experience in the Nokia E75 brings all of the owner’s accounts into one simple to access and easy to use user-interface (UI), which supports the most common features for desktop email including expanding views, one click reply and sub-folder and hyper text markup language (HTML) support.

In addition, he said, the latest in stock from Nokia enhances email functionality, upgraded personal information management features such as the ability to create and respond to meeting requests, and contacts lookup and auto-complete, also make their debut in the Nokia E75.

This, he also said, has been built with special features for communication and business transactions, which help people to transact their businesses at will.
Equally speaking, Senior Marketing Manager, Nokia Nigeria, Mrs. Lola Daniels said, Nokia E75 is the first Nokia side slide with full keyboard that is designed for the best electronic (e-mail) experience.

She said the phone which weighs 138 grams comes with four Gigabytes, which serves as an excellent personal information management.

Daniels further explained that the phone has a five-hour talk time and an 11 days power standby, just as it has other great features which are easy to operate including a 3.2 mega pixel camera,50 email addresses to name a few.

Additionally, she said the product has been launched in South Africa and Dubai and will hit Nigerian market by this weekend.

Outlining that Nokia E75 also integrates tightly to other Ovi services, thus being shipped with Ovi Files, for storing files online, Nokia Maps, which works with the onboard A-Global Positioning System GPS, and Nokia’s games service, N-Gage, which is supported for the first time in a Nokia Eseries device.

The Nokia E75 comes fully equipped for quick and easy access to professional and personal emails. Consumers who use Microsoft Exchange at work can access their email using the preloaded Mail for Exchange mobile email client giving consumers real time access to their email, tasks and contacts as well as attachments downloads.

There are also a robust pack of enterprise grade features for business with underlying technologies that allow for effective security settings for corporate applications and data, making it a complete device that supports enterprise-specific deployments.
