Broadband service provider, Emperion has confirmed its participation in this year’s Cyber café Survival expo scheduled for next month in Lagos, reports CHARLES OKOH.
Affirming this, the managing partner of the organizing company, Private Media Mart Limited, Mr. Ejiofor Agada, told ITRealms Online that Emperion represented in the country by its West African office, will use the event scheduled at ultra modern K&G Events Centre Oregun Lagos, to introduce current franchising scheme in Nigeria as well as special Cyber Café solutions.
He also said that multiple award winning Internet broadband solution providers, Direct-On-PC, will also be using the expo to promote the adoption of its latest range of Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) solutions.
According to him, the product has also been described as the best solution for the latest trend in mini-cyber cafés for rural areas, with ease of deployment and flexible payment plans.
Agada said that the need to increase the survival rate of cyber cafés as well as tackle the challenges of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in areas of Internet broadband access, necessitated the debut of the initiative, which is now in its second edition.
“The desire to host this event is to help in our own little way, to correct the impression that investment in cyber café business is a waste,” he said.
Other confirmed participants in the expo, Agada said, include IpNX, McQuintus and Swift Networks with the Nigerian Internet Group (NIG) and Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as institutional partners.
