Mobile phone manufacturer, Samsung Electronics has introduced S5233 in the Nigeria’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) market.
The firm also said that the launch of its latest in stock, S5233 mobile, comes with full-touch screen, which enables its position as a leading player in the hugely popular touch screen mobile market.
Executive Vice President and Head, Mobile Communications division at Samsung Electronics, Mr. JK Shin, said that Samsung S5233 otherwise refer to as Star, is a significant product in the full-touch screen mobile portfolio, thus bringing stylish designs to user interfaces.
“We are committed to strengthening our portfolio of full-touch phones by introducing a variety of handsets to suit every lifestyle. This new products will bring the exciting experience of touch to mobile phone users and further enhance Samsung’s leadership in the full-touch market,” he said.
Shin also said that Samsung S5233 is bundled with the latest multimedia features in a slim and compact body that measures a mere 11.9mm, as well as adopting a 3.0-inch WQVGA full-touch screen and Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets.
Stressing that these features afford the phone users to enjoy their mobile easily and intuitively, noting that using the “Photo Contact” users could call a contact simply by touching an appointed image.
In addition, he said, the S5233 boasts various multimedia features including a three mega-pixel camera and video recording supporting QVGA@15fps.
“It supports multi-format and DNSe for ease of use and better sound quality. The phone also features music recognition using Shazam’s ‘Find Music’ service. To enjoy various multimedia content, S5233 (Star) supports 50MB memory capacity with an external memory slot up to 8GB,” he said.
Equally, Samsung S5233 users could enjoy full internet browsing with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation and Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) connectivity. For convenience, the phone also supports a QWERTY keyboard. “Gesture Lock” and hand writing features.
