CWL bags 3 Sun Microsystem prizes

The Computer Warehouse Limited (CWL), the hardware subsidiary of the Computer Warehouse Group, recently won three awards at the Sun Microsystems Partners Executive Summit, held at the Emerald Casino Resort South Africa.

Disclosing this, the chief operating officer, CWL, Mr. Phillip Obioha, said that his company was nominated in several other categories, but it tactically captured three, namely the Best System Partner of the year, Best Storage partner of the year and
Best Overall Partner of the year in the region (Sub Saharan Africa).

Mr. Obioha, who also received the awards on behalf of the company, said he was elated, while dedicating the prizes to the loyal customers and staff of the company in the region.

Also commenting, the Vice President for Sun SEE, Mr. Steve Furniss, appreciated CWG for its contribution to the success of the region, noting that whereas other regions recorded significant drop in the result, only Sub-Saharan Africa region recorded significant growth of about 25 per cent year-on-year with huge growth from West Africa, contributing about 40 per cent of Sun’s financial growth.

The event, which is held annually gathers all Sun’s partners in South and sub-Saharan African regions to review business in those regions, introduce new technology and reward outstanding performers.

It will be recalled that CWL has won other Sun awards at this event over the past few years.

According to him, CWG quality policy is to deliver IT solutions that would add value to customers’ operations, meet and exceed their expectation by delivering them right the first time and all the time.

“We believe in and pursuit of excellent service culture,” he said.

Stressing that CWG understand that local support is crucial ingredient for success, hence its sales strategy is hinged on customer referrals obtained by providing the ‘ultimate in customer satisfaction.’

“Our proven ability to deliver and support world class solutions has created an immense sense of trust, integrity and partnership with our customers; and that guarantees them peace of mind and assures their loyalty. This is our value edge,” he said.

As well, Obioha pointed out that CWG had gone through the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9001 certification process across the whole group.

“We have also earned top partnership certifications from our original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners from across the globe,” he declared.
