Information Technology Association of Nigeria (ITAN) in collaboration with World Information Technology and Service Alliance and Nigerian Computer Society, (NCS) would today, in Kano present a one day IT Public-Private Forum, with the theme
“Plucking the Low Hanging Fruits.”
President ITAN, Dr. Jimson Olufuye in a press statement said that the capacity building forum is expected to attract State Commissioners for ICT /IT Advisers and IT CEOs/Technopreneurs for synergy, rapprochement to galvanize accelerated IT developments in all ramifications within the States in Nigeria for immediate economic recovery and long term prosperity.
According to him, the Minister of Information and Communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili, would deliver a keynote paper on “Rebranding with ICT for Vision 20 2020.”Dr. Olufuye who is very passionate about software development among Nigerian youths said that Kano State Government through the Commissioner for Science and Technology has concluded plans to host the meeting in the first meeting of the ITPPF after its inauguration by the WITSA Chairman Dato Dan E. Khoo, last April at Abuja, during the ADIPENG International.
The Annual General Meeting, (AGM) of ITAN, he said, will hold shortly after at the same venue, stressing that key item on the agenda is the election of new officers of the association.
