The fifth Global System for Mobile (GSM) communications, Etisalat has announced the extension of its coverage across the 36 states of the federation.
Etisalat said that the extension of network coverage area to more cities, towns and villages is in line with the company’s ongoing expansion of services to every nook and cranny of the country. “Etisalat now has network coverage in all the states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,” the Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Wael Ammar.
He also said that Etisalat is extremely proud and excited to have actively achieved network coverage in all the states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
“Our core commitment is to extend our customers’ reach without limit and our presence in all the states of the nation in under a year and a half of commercial operations is proof that our customers are at the heart of all we do,” he said, reiterated that Etisalat is committed to providing world-class service to all new and existing customers on our network pan-Nigeria.
Mr. Ammar noted that the company plans to dramatically increase its network capacity within all the states of the federation where it now has presence.
The focus of this expansion exercise, he said, would be delivery of unmatched value offers to subscribers through a comprehensive portfolio of products and value added services.
He further said the announcement confirms that Etisalat has come live in several cities and villages nationwide.
He outlined some key areas in the south-east and south south, as well as north central locations of Ohafia, Ahoada, Ikot Abasi, Abak, Ette and Essene town, Oturkpo, Keffi, Ajaokuta and Kabba.
In Delta State, the Orhunwhorun town is also live on the network, just as other locations recently covered included Katsina-Ala, Mkar, Yenegoa, Etinan, Odupkani, Itu, Otomewo, Vom, Magajin Gari, Dambuwa and Tsume amongst others.
Ammar equally said that the cities like Zaria, Kaduna, Bauchi, Kano and the FCT had earlier been covered but there is an ongoing densification of the Etisalat service in the cities and states.
“The aggressive network expansion also covers roads such as the Aba-Calabar road, the Enugu-Abuja, the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, Gboko-Aliade road and Makurdi-Oturkpo road,” he said, maintaining that residents and visitors in the new locations could now enjoy access to all of Etisalat’s unique products and services.
