The traditional ruler of Dahomey Abomey Kingdom in the Republic of Benin, His Royal Majesty Vidjinnangni Agboli-Agbo, has endorsed Globacom’s operations in the country.
Welcoming a team from the telecom brand to his kingdom recently, during the hosting of the Glo Laffta Fest show, the royal father stated that with the positive reports about the company before its arrival in Benin Republic, he had no doubt that Glo is a telecom brand for the people of Africa.
These reports, he said, have been further confirmed by Glo’s phenomenal achievements since it started operations in the country.
“Glo is a telecom brand for the people of Africa by Africa. Glo is the pride of Africa and we are very proud of your phenomenal achievements since you started operation in this country”, he said.
Also, he prayed for the continued success of Glo in the country and gave his blessing.
The Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) expressed thank to the monarch for the reception and massive patronage Glo has enjoyed in his kingdom.
The Glo Laffta Fest show in Abomey was well attended by residents as well as Special Guests such as society big wigs including the representatives of the Mayor of Abomey, the representative of the King and Glo Master Partners.
Comedians who performed at the event held at the Maison de Jeunes include Pipi Wobaho, Elephant Mouille and Gerard Hounou from Benin Republic and Koro Abou from Cote d’Ivoire. Musicians who thrilled the audience with their popular tunes are Riss Cool and El Nazito from Abomey, Pasteur Guy from Côte d’Ivoire, All Baxx and Pélagie la Vibreuse from Benin Republic and Edou, a musician popular in both Benin and Côte d’Ivoire.
