Cisco Systems has launched its borderless network in the country.
Speaking at the session in Lagos, Advanced Technical Business Development Manager for Emerging Marketing at Cisco, Mr. Bola Adegbommire said that the new product is architectural based and would enhance the way Nigerians live their lives as well as offer them the chance to communicate with their businesses, associates, friends and loved ones irrespective of their location.
The launch, he said, would enable the availability of borderless services for Nigerians in three major areas of voice, data and video.
Also speaking, the Systems Engineer at Cisco Systems Nigeria, Mr. Salami Morakinyo; noted that the introduction of the borderless network became necessary, since mobility and video are leading revolution in technology.
Though the service has been in existence for decades for specific subscribers, Cisco, he said, is now making the service available not only for organizations but also for private persons who want to have a feel of architecture powered by its Tele-presence.

Officials emphasized that systems innovations across routing, switching, wireless, acceleration, and security help organizations to deliver mobility, security, and performance to transform the way IT delivers and scales those services on the network.
Cisco’s five-phase plan for Borderless Networks provides a roadmap to the advanced features and services that would help enable the next-generation workspace experience.
