Gloworld, the customer service centre unit of the Second National Operator (SNO), Globacom has opened two of the customer outlets in Fadeyi-Lagos and Seme border, last week.
Disclosing this, Managing Director, Gloworld, Mrs. Shade Olusope, said the opening of these outlets was part of the operator’s design to bring all telecoms sales and after-sales service as close as possible to the consumer urging subscribers to take advantage of the doorstep shops to register their SIM cards in the on-going exercise.
Olusope explained that with the new Gloworld, customers could obtain quick solutions to all issues ranging from SIM replacements to making enquiries and recovering over-scratched recharge cards.
Other services offered by the Gloworld, she said, include refilling of airtime, unblocking, phone and laptop configuration and payment of bills.
“Subscribers can also take advantage of the Gloworld shops opening around them to register their SIM cards” she advised, noting that the outlet is a strategy to increase Glo’s customer service contact centers to 65 by the end of this year.
The ceremony at Fadeyi attracted dignitaries including the Registrar and secretary to council of the University of Lagos, Mr. Oluwarotimi Shodimu, the Divisional Police Officer for Onipanu Division, CSP Olubunmi Osoko, Divisional Police Officer Shomolu Division, John Chu, Legislators and business leaders in the area.
Mr. Shodimu observed that Glo liberated Nigerians by making mobile telecommunication pocket-friendly and user-friendly at inception, just as he described the company as the “most indigenous.”
Equally speaking Osoko commended Globacom for the choice of Fadeyi as location for the outlet, stressing that it was a heavily populated area which was secure for business.
In a related development, Globacom opened another shop in Seme boarder, Badagry-Lagos, to serve Nigerians customers and other nationals residing and doing businesses in the ever busy border community, last Thursday.
The shop is the first of its kind to be opened by any telecommunications operator to cater for the people of the area.
