ICANN’s At Large names 3 for voting board slate

Three candidates have emerged as finalist for the position of the At-Large selected voting board of director.

According to At-Large Board Candidate Evaluation Committee (BCEC) the slate of three candidates for the position of At-Large selected voting Board Director, includes Sébastien Bachollet, Pierre Dandjinou and Alan Greenberg.

The Statements of Interest (SOI) from the three candidates as well as the 19 other applicants reviewed are available on the At-Large Candidate Workspace.

A press statement from the Communications section of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) indicating that the current time-line for the Board Director selected by the At-Large Community (ALAC).

BCEC said that slate of 3-7 candidates and SOI details which began last Thursday, while on November 12 it would open space for campaigning period, comprised of community call for candidate debate, and RALO discussions on candidates;
Between November 15 and 19, BCEC said it would continue to hold RALO discussions on candidates and ALAC as well as RALO chairs vote for At-Large Director.

In addition, BCEC said that successful candidates who would take seat on ICANN board, would be announced on December 10, this year.

They noted that this time-line, however, may change slightly pending an extraordinary meeting of the At-Large Board Selection design team scheduled for last Monday.

BCEC equally congratulated the slate of three candidates and look forward to a stimulating campaigning period.

Also, BCEC said it was delighted with and full of appreciation for, the extraordinarily high standard of all the conforming applicant Statement of Interests received.
