Second National Operator (SNO), Globacom, has crashed its call rate for international destinations from N39 to N10 per minute in a special International Direct Dialing (IDD) promo for the festive season.
Globacom’s Head of Marketing, Mr. Navdeep Kapur, said in Lagos, at the weekend that with the new call rate, all Glo customers could now make calls at only N10 per minute using their Glo Mobile lines to both mobile and fixed lines in the United States of America, USA, India, China, Hong Kong, Canada and Singapore.
Also, he said, customers could make calls at N10 minutes only to fixed phones in the United Kingdom UK, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico and the Netherlands.
He explained that the unique offer is available till the 28th day of February, 2011, adding that the new call rate provides an easy way for subscribers to stay in touch with their friends, family and business associates overseas at the rate of N10 per minutes, and is available to both prepaid as well as postpaid customers on the Glo network, irrespective of the tariff plan, time or location.
This, he said is in tandem with the philosophy of Glo to offer more at all times, in different facets of life and indeed to offer more than anyone else, describing Globacom as an innovative operator and as well as a brand that values relationships and strives to help build family and friendship ties among its subscribers.
“Our subscribers can easily reach out to their loved ones abroad throughout the duration of the promo without spending a fortune on calls,” he said.
Glo, he further said, has been at the forefront of driving revolutionary changes in the Nigerian telecommunications industry.
“Our overall objective in this regard is to continue to satisfy our customers offering world -class services at an affordable price. Since the launch of per second billing in 2003, Nigerians have come to look at Globacom with huge expectations. We will continue to delight our customers with unique value-added offerings.” Kapur said.
