Former Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and Chairman, Open Media Group, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe has joined the list of speakers at the forthcoming Broadband Summit slated to hold in Lagos next week Thursday, February 24.
Ndukwe who is also the Head, Centre for Infrastructure Policy, Regulation and Advancement (CIPRA) at the Lagos Business Schools, the organizers said has accepted an invitation to attend the Broadband Forum holding as a guest to provide an insight into the theme of the forum, which is ‘Broadband and the Mobile Application Ecosystem and the New Media.’
The event, the organizers said, would re-echo global focus on the imperatives of driving broadband and the mobile platforms as well as emerging applications.
Ndukwe who was until March 2010 the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will be joined by his successor, Dr Eugene Juwah and Chairman of Linkserve, Chima Onyekwere and other top industry players to speak at the 2011 Forum including the Managing Director of NigComSat, Mr. Ahmed Rufai.
Already, Chief Executive of Internet eXchange Point Nigeria, Mr. Mohammed Rudman, President of ATCON, Mr. Titi Omo-Ettu, President of Nigerian Internet Group, Mr. Bayo Banjo and Chairman of Teledom are some of the top industry players that have accepted to storm the Forum to make their contributions towards growing Nigeria’s broadband market.
Issues expected to be discussed at the event include Broadband and the last mile imperative, Broadband and digital Right and the role of the regulator in mobile application ecosystem and the new media.
