Lagos-based Information and Communication Technology (ICT) company, Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) is partnering an Israeli firm, Gamatronics Electronics Industries, to deliver power solution to Nigerians by exploring back-up solutions.
Head, Marketing Communication, CWG, Mr. Chidi Okpala said that the partnership has led to the planning of a one-day discussion forum next week Thursday, March 15, this year, to offer the most competitive and comprehensive power supply packages in the country.
He also said that the discussion has been planned to be of energy saving cum reduction in the use of energy with higher efficiency and cutting the usage of electricity.
He noted that the theme of the roundtable is “Higher efficiency in Back Up Solutions Using Modular UPS.”
The event, he said, the duo of CWG and Gamatronic decided to join hands in educating and enlightening guests on the opportunities within a tightly integrated and tested solution with simplified management that reduces the complexity, risks and costs of running a data center.
Through this solution, Okpala informed ITRealms Online that guests would be exposed to ways in which power efficiency could be increased, assets better utilized and an ability that would help the user’s better respond to business needs thereby maximizing productivity.
Gamatronics Electronics Industries and CWG, he said, would showcase a Modular UPS, stressing that the new Mega Power Plus Modular UPS is a brand new UPS, 25kW to 250kW of pure on-line power.
He explained that the unit is based on the successful Power Plus technology developed in-house by leading Gamatronics research and development engineers, and is further improved by implementing latest power elements and algorithms available on power electronics market.
He emphasised that the Modular UPS is known for its power protection solutions and its provisions are based on green and clean, globally responsible energy, with full respect to working environments’ needs and global environmental care standards.
“This is the most recognized product in the international market. The Gamatronics modular UPS, based on 10KVA & 25KVA modules up to 250KVA per system with smart communication options and scalable rack – was released in 2004 and since then succeeded world wide in the most prestigious projects and customers,” he said.
Power Plus, he said, is a unique concept in modular UPS power solutions: it is scalable according to user needs and offers increased efficiency, flexibility, redundancy and reliability, while lowering the cost of transportation, maintenance, service, operation and storage.
Since server rooms represent 25 per cent of buildings’ electricity consumption, it was perceived that there was a way to reduce the high levels of energy wasted in the IT environments like IT rooms, banks, oil and gas and so on. And to improve efficiency, and with the modular technology, clients/customers can enjoy significant added values all thanks to the extremely small footprint, modularity and high efficiency.
Additionally, he said, the Power Plus is the ideal solution for datacenters and IT applications with more than 10,000 Power+ modular UPS systems installed in more than 80 countries all over the world, Gamatronics is continuing to develop the Power+ family with new modular designs and solutions based on the smart technology. The Modular UPS is a power solution with environmental integrity.
