President of the Association of Masters of Business Administration of the University of Benin, Mr. Ovie Chris has said the plan by the Nigerian Communications Commission is commendable.
This, they also said, aligns with the track record of performance of the Commission in the development of Nigeria.
The students who visited the Commission at the weekend, said the NCC is one of the government parastatals that most Nigerians are proud of.
“Sir, especially we must commend NCC for doing a good job, and we commend for doing this good job. We cannot enumerate everything the Commission is doing or has done in this visit but we know that the Commission is doing well and we know they are doing a good.
“We heard some of your officers saying that some operators are not happy over some issues, but to us that shows your doing a good job. It is when you are performing on the side of the subscribers that they will not be happy. So, please continue the good work.
“Good service is the best thing that you can offer to the nation and we are happy that the Commission has provided good service to the nation.” he said.
Mr. Ovie said that the students of the department usually carry out an assessment of the different agencies of government and their performance and categorized the Commission as one that has performed creditably well in the development process of this nation.
He said the planned SIM registration project has been identified as one that will assist the security agencies to do their work better and protect the lives and properties of Nigerians.
In his response, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Eugene Juwah, commended the students for their efforts, especially in taking time to assess the performance of agencies of government as this will be a source of inspiration.
He commended the students for their industry and determination that has enabled them to cope with the difficulties associated with studying in the Nigerian universities today.
He urged the students to ensure that they all register when the Commission begins the SIM Card registration programme in few weeks time.
