Nokia partners Airtel on E7

Airtel Nigeria and mobile phone maker, Nokia is partner on Nokia E7 to drive market penetration.

Head, Communications, Nokia West Africa, Mr. Osagie Ogunbor, said that the partnership would create a bundle offering that would empower corporate clients and high value customers to succeed in their professional and business endeavours.

He also said that the partnership would avail Nokia E7, a powerful mobile computing tool bundled available with high speed internet service as well as access to up to 50 complimentary Short Message Service (SMS) for a 12-month period.

The offer, Ogunbor said, is opened to only new Airtel customers on the 2Good prepaid & postpaid tariff platforms, and is also available to new Corporate and SME (Small & Medium Enterprises) customers on the Airtel network.

The Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director of Airtel Nigeria, Deepak Srivastava, was quoted in a press statement made available to ITRealms Online as saying, Airtel is extremely excited to join forces with Nokia to offer high value customers and corporate clients in Nigeria with the relevant mobile telephony resources to meet their business goals as well as outperform in their professional endeavours.

He noted that the offer was specially designed to cater to the data and information needs of a typical Nigerian business executive, adding that Nokia has done extremely well in creating a powerful mobile computing device to match the speed, energy and lifestyle of high value individuals across the country.

Equally speaking, Managing Director of Nokia West Africa, Mr. James Rutherfoord highlighted that the partnership with Airtel is part of efforts to surpass the expectations of teeming customers that have been yearning for the Nokia E7.

According to him the E7 is Nokia’s latest smartphone with great benefits including Nokia’s Messaging Service with push mail supporting up to 10 email accounts including business mail with Microsoft Mail for Exchange.

It also facilitates fast, secure intranet with inbuilt VPN & calendar sync with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft communicator and voice conferencing. The Nokia boss for its operations in West Africa further described the Nokia E7 as a “mobile office in your pocket, keeping users and success in sync.”
