He said, this service could also be used to send thousands of free SMS to customers in every month at a click of a button, described the service as a unique offering, which would allow people to send SMS to many people at the same time with just a click away at no cost to them.

“With SMSConnect, we are offering Nigerians a very unique opportunity both as individual and businesses to register on our website and use the SMSConnect service to send free SMS to their friends, loved ones and business partners and customers,” he said.

Mr. Rustagi said an individual could use this service to reach a large number of people at the same time for instance to send SMS to invite friends for a birthday party while a laundry service company could use the SMS connect to reach its customers to send messages.

He outlined the features of the SMSConnect service to include group SMS, schedule SMS and address book.

The quick SMS feature, for instance, he said, enables a user to send SMS to one person with just a click of a button, while the Group SMS allows SMS messaging to up to 50 numbers at the same time while sent SMS is a folder that keeps record of set messages.
