Sony Internet TV debuts in Lagos

Sony Corporation has unveiled its Internet Television tagged Bravia into the Nigerian market.

Speaking at the event held last Saturday, the Managing Director for Sony Golf with headquarters in Dubia, Mr. Osamu Miura said that Sony Corporation has redefined television with Sony Internet Tv.

According to him, the future has come together with Sony Internet Television – Bravia, stressing that Sony Television sets are not longer just TV with the latest.

Miura who was accompanied by the Country Manager for Sony Corporation, Mr. Vikram Salvan, chairman, Flying Dove, Mr. Karan Israni and Head of African Business, Sony Dubai, Mr. Munnaswamy Dinakaran, also said that they do not have plans to engage any particular Internet Service Provider (ISP) to drive the project in Nigeria.

He also said that plans have been advanced to ensure that this latest in stock from Sony Corporation gets across to other countries in the sub-region, especially Ghana, where relationship has been developed for that purpose.

“Ghana is close to our heart,” he declared.

He equally said that the Sony Internet Television comes with about 18 channels and does not have memory storage, but streams content based on customers demand.

Describing the launch as evolution of television, he noted that television technology has taken many, often revolutionary turns since it was invented over 80 years ago.

Similarly, he said, the Internet has progressed from an information-sharing medium to the full-blown content provider it is today.

“With the new range of Bravia Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) televisions, Sony has seamlessly integrated these two life’s essentials so you can surf your favourite sites, check up on the latest news and upload content,” he said.

Mr. Miura further said that this could be done with Bravia while customers enjoy their favourite shows and movies, asserting that some people have described the Sony Internet Television as ‘intelligent interaction.

“We prefer to call it quite simply, the future,” he said.

Pointing out that in order to maximally enjoy Bravia, the Third Dimension (3D) content has to be delivered in full High Definition (HD).

As said by him, the Bravia 3D High Definition Television does not only project HD frames in their entirety to each eye, but also utilizes numerous processes such as backlight blinking and timing control to give users an experience they definitely want to get and could not forget easily.

On the design, he said that Bravia has been produced with a monolithic design and imposing presence, which made it not just a centerpiece in the living room.

“It’s also a masterpiece whether it’s on or off,” he said, even as Bravia comes with an image processing chips that make picture quality come to the viewer naturally, in addition to enabling images to automatically up scaled to the display’s native resolution, while powerful noise reduction and image enhancement processes ensure clear pictures.

The Sony Internet Television, he said, allows users to watch videos from websites, check out what song or movie is currently playing on TV and even make calls via Skype, thanks to Bravia Tv’s networking feature.

A collection of CID 2015 latest films is often witnessed on dailymotion just in case anyone hasn’t received the usage of Sony Leisure channel. CID 2014 regardless of remaining in its 16th calendar year of continuous broadcast continue to manages to keep substantial audience and hence carries on to get cleared for consecutive seasons. The display remains likely powerful which leads me to think that it'll go on in the future also. cid episode 2015
