TD, Samsung to boost education

The recent partnership between the acclaimed number one in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) distribution in West Africa, the Technology Distributions (TD) Limited and Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) would boost the education sector, says the Managing Director, TD, Mrs. Chioma Ekeh.

According to her, the partnership is a logical and practical step for any business especially if growth is on your objective list.

Particularly, she revealed that Samsung meets the partnership needs of TD in relation to the servicing of her customer-base in the sub-region, even as it possesses the right technology, marketing and personality to consolidate and increase that customer base.

She also said that the partnership is timely as it has the potential to boost the educational sector of the economy, which is could be linked to market growth.

Mrs. Ekeh further said that the TD-Samsung partnership would give value by addressing every manifestation of the economic recession in the West African region including unemployment, capacity building, and capacity utilization.

The TD-Samsung union, she said, would deliver innovative solutions that must address the issues of affordability and appropriateness of ICT technology in the oil, finance and banking, communications, manufacturing, and public sectors of the Nigerian economy with a special emphasis on education.

Equally speaking, Director of IT, Samsung Electronics, Mrs. Chioma Iwuchukwu-Nweke, said that Samsung is coming into this partnership from a position of strength and proven abilities with an array of outstanding products for home, small and medium business and for large enterprises. She said that these products were specifically built for the African market with a view to solve specific challenges.

Mrs. Nweke cited an instance with the Samsung solar powered mini laptop which answers the energy challenges of the third world without boring a hole in the pocket.

She said that the durability of the Samsung information technology products is derived from the fact that Samsung produces not just PCs but also components for other PC manufacturers.

For her, the Samsung offering include toners, inks, printers, monitors, desktops, laptops, tablets, among others.

All Samsung products, she said, are backed by a comprehensive one year warranty and the support could be received from TD Plus, a subsidiary of TD acclaimed for its multiple engineering competencies.
