The African Product Forum 2011 award organized by the
Institute for Government Research and Leadership Technology has named Blue Gate
brands of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) as the best in its categories for
the year.
The Blue Gate’s UPS promoted in the country by Tripplesea
Group, according to the Country Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Africa and
Middle East of Institute for Government Research and Leadership Technology, Mr.
Moses Essien is certified by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and
have high qualities which were designed to suit the Nigerian environment.
“We took out time to study other UPS products that were
nominated for the award. We took time to know the comparative advantage of each
product,” he said, adding that Blue Gate controls over 65 per cent of the mass
market in Nigeria as a result of its high quality, hence it merited the award
for the best UPS 2011, due to its reliability, ruggedness and power efficiency.

Director General , Prof. John Akanya, who was quoted in a press statement made
available to ITRealms Online as saying that Blue Gate UPS products have really
come to become a market leader in the nation’s UPS market.
“Blue Gate was specially designed to support African
hardware market. I am not surprised that they won the award for the best UPS of
2011,” he said.
The brand, he further said, has been making waves in the

Responding after the award, the General Manager, Tripplesea
Group, Mr. Osita Godson expressed appreciation to the organizers for the
prestigious award.

“It is no surprise that the Federal Government donated Blue

equipment, mission critical equipment, transmitter, motors, compressors, pumps,
radio and TV stations to name a few.
