The managing director and chief executive officer (MD/CEO)
at TD, Mrs. Chioma Ekeh, made this disclosure at a session with resellers.
While dedicating the award to all TD’s resellers, she said
that the highest in the printers and supplies category, announced recently at
the IPG Africa, otherwise known as Technology Tours held in Mauritius 2012,
confirmed the growing image of Technology Distributions as the most versatile
HP partner in sub-Saharan Africa.
For their hard work and strict adherence to channel sales,
she said that the award would not have been possible without the support of the
resellers who served as foot soldiers; living the values of TD while pushing
quality ICT products to satisfied end users.
Also, Mrs. Ekeh said that the award in the IPG category was
another testimony of the total nature of TD marketing as the number 1 performer
in laptops, desktops, servers, UPS, networking materials and printers cum
supplies.
She further said that this award, more than any other, poses
a bigger challenge for the resellers and staff of TD because of higher expectations
from the markets.
“We must build on our successes and put in place a set of
strategies that would enable us to fully realize the vision of the founding
fathers to catalyze the ICT revolution in Africa with high quality products and
services that are affordable and accessible,” she said.
She pointed out that the lofty dreams of the founding
fathers were daunting but realizable because of the resources and processes
that TD has put in place over the years.
As said by her, during the training session cheques were
presented to PAS partners for online businesses of the past month.
Partners, who traded online at the time of a business, get
the margin from end user prices. While during the session, Modupe Adesiyun
talked to the Resellers on HP-IPG Hardware – how to optimize productivity.
Kelechi Nwamara talked on HP Supplies – Why HP Supplies?
She also highlighted the differences between genuine and
fake supplies, urged resellers never to yield to the temptation to make short
term gains at the expense of the channel and long term corporate objectives.
