Young innovators could win chance to pitch their ideas to
industry leaders at International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Telecom World
2012.
The global telecommunication regulator, said its ‘Young
Innovators Competition,’ on the second edition of its initiative to give young,
talented social entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend the key global
networking and knowledge sharing event, ITU Telecom World 2012 and the chance
to win funding, mentorship and ongoing support.
Officials confirmed that submissions consists everything
from well researched concepts to ongoing operations showing preliminary results.
“From these, the 12 most outstanding entries – judged to
have the greatest possible social impact and potential for business success
would win the chance to attend and participate in ITU Telecom World 2012, which
takes place from 14-18 October in Dubai.

communication technology with over 145 years, whilst coordinating the shared
global use of the radio spectrum, promoted international cooperation in
assigning satellite orbits, worked to improve communication infrastructure in
the developing world, and established the worldwide standards that foster
seamless interconnection of a vast range of communications systems.
