Leading telecommunications operator, MTN Nigeria, has joined Nigerians in mourning the death of passengers in the Dana plane crash yesterday in Lagos, Sunday, June.
MTN Nigeria through its Corporate
Services Executive, Mr. Wale Goodluck, in a statement made available to
ITRealms Online in Lagos, said the mobile operator is sadden by the crash and
therefore condoles with the families of the victims aboard a Dana plane enroute
Lagos from Abuja.
He noted that the plane with 153
passengers and crew crashed into residential buildings in the Iju-Ishaga area
of Lagos, stressing that the news of the incident was received with shock by
the organisation.
"We are deeply saddened to learn
of this unfortunate loss of lives. We extend our most sincere condolences to
the families of the victims, the Governor and people of Lagos State, and indeed
the entire country over this tragedy," he said.
According to Mr. Goodluck, the thoughts
and prayers of MTN family is with the bereaved.
“We pray God to give them the fortitude
to bear this irreparable loss,” he stated.
