Intel lifts 200 workers @ Igbobi Orthopedic’s with ICT training

Intel Nigeria has lifted over 200 health workers at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Igbobi, Lagos with Information and Communications Technology (ICT) training beginning with computer literacy project.

Corporate Affairs Manager of Intel Nigeria, Mr. Osagie Ogunbor, reveals this development to ITRealms, saying that the entire project is about improving the standards of health care delivery in the country by ultimately connecting most leading hospitals to a national network such that doctors could easily access medical records of patients in any hospital by the click of a mouse.
Intel, he said, partnering with Synapses a medical network company to deliver on this project.

The Managing Director of Synapses Dr. Segun Ebitanmi expressed appreciation to Intel for the free digital training, adding “when we embarked on this project to provide digital infrastructure to hospitals in the country, the biggest challenge we encountered was the fact that most of the health workers expected to use the software and applications had little or no computer skills.
