Leading light in the Nigeria’s industry advocate and group
vice chairman of Teledom Group International, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem has applauded
the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for being the
official country partner at this year’s Global Information Technology
Exhibition (GiTEX) 2014, ITRealms reports.
Speaking exclusively in a chat with ITRealms at the World
Trade Center venue of GITEX, the former president of the Nigeria Internet Group
(NIG) and Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ALTON) told ITRealms this year’s Nigeria’s participation deserves huge commendation and
thanks to NITDA.
As said by him, even if there could be a few Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) products on offer, it enables the participating
companies and Nigeria as a whole to showcase its products to the world through
exchange of company leaflets.
This effort, Ekuwem said paves way to structure a local
distribution internationally of Nigerian products within the global ICT sector,
mostly in the area of software.
He stressed that the number of participation is encouraging
and should be sustained especially under the leadership of NITDA
Director-General, Mr. Peter Jack.
