GITEX 2014: Nigeria is changing her negative stories – Onuegbu

One of the Nigeria’s advantage in participating in the ongoing 2014 GITEX at the World Trade Center in Dubia is the ability to change her negative stories to positive in the global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and precisely on the Internet attitudes, says the Executive Vice Chairman, Signal Alliance Company, Mr. Collins Onuegbu.

The promoter of SASWARE venture capital, a subsidiary of Signal Alliance told ITRealms that Nigeria ICT industry should see opportunities like GITEX as a platform to retold the country stories positively.

He narrated how he went to a stand only to be accosted with a question of a nation known for online scam, which he quickly turned to Nigeria’s advantage by telling the positive stories rather than leaving the negative stories to take upper hand in people’s mind.

Mr. Onuegbu also commended NITDA for this platform offered to Nigerian companies to contribute in changing the negatives stories the country may have, thereby making way for more investors while creating enabling environment for Nigerian enterprise, particularly the start-ups who are usually in search of investors.
